Rattlesnake Avoidance TrainingFor the safety of your pet, your children, and yourself, Magma Bird Dogs offers professional rattlesnake avoidance training. Though rattle snake encounters are possible at any time of year, these vipers are particularly active in the early spring as they move around the desert in search of food. Since this is also the time of year when folks are hiking, hunting, boating, and camping to enjoy the cool Arizona weather, the entire family will benefit by training your dog to avoid rattlesnakes. |

What is Snake Breaking?Rattlesnake avoidance training, also known as snake breaking, trains the dog to run away from a snake encounter. Snakes have a different movement and sound than other wildlife that your dog might encounter while outdoors. This arouses their natural curiosity, though tragedy may strike if the dog follows that curiosity to the snake. Using a simple yet effective process, snake breaking trains dogs to avoid snakes through visual and auditory association with danger. We have been providing this snake breaking service for more than 25 years, and believe that this program has saved many dogs. Through experience we have found a small percentage of the dogs that will still go up to a snake that does not move or make any noise, whether or not it is a rattlesnake. Our training utilizes two snakes; one that rattles and one that does not. Your dog’s safety is our first concern, and rattlesnake breaking your dog will help keep your pet and your family safe. |
